With over two decades in the hospitality industry, Janice Kuz has poured more coffees, navigated more weekend rushes, and built more community spaces than she can count.

Janice’s journey with The Nines began as a local regular - dropping in for the familiar faces, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional coffee. Having already sourced beans from the cafe for her other venue, taking the reins at The Nines was a natural next step driven by a shared passion for quality and local connection.

Two Decades of Hospitality & Heart

For Janice, running a great cafe isn't about reinventing the wheel, it’s about heart, consistency, and active listening. Bringing 20+ years of hands-on experience to the floor, her leadership focuses on:

• Expanding Their Local Offerings. Growing kitchen operations to 7 days a week and continually evolving the menu with fresh, creative flavors inspired by travel and local collaborations.
• Fostering Real Connection With Customers. Striking the balance between a clear culinary vision and genuine customer feedback to build a space that feels like home.
• Empowering the Team. Cultivating a warm, welcoming team culture where service feels like catching up with old friends.
