I’m Janice Kuz , owner of The Nines, and after 20+ years in hospo, I opened this place to be bigger, bolder, and more fun than your average “nice cafe”. If you’ve ever been personally victimised by a sad, tiny brekkie that costs a fortune, nah. Not here. Let’s dig in.

We have a very simple philosophy here: "We Don't Do Boring." It is baked into everything we do, from the way we plate our dishes to the energy our team brings to the floor every morning. When you walk into The Nines Sunshine Coast , you aren't just getting a meal; you are stepping into a modern Aussie culture that celebrates generous portions and big flavours.

What really sets us apart is the balance. We’ve taken the sophisticated street cafe energy of Melbourne and blended it with the relaxed, sun-drenched lifestyle of Maroochydore. Whether you're chasing a healthy start with our GFO (Gluten-Free Optional) avocado toast or you're ready to full-send it with a loaded burger, we’ve got you covered. We believe that a great cafe should be a daily ritual, not a once-a-year treat, which is why we focus on solid value and quality that hits the spot every single time.

If there is one thing we are famous for, it’s our Eggs Benedict. But we didn't just stop at the classic version. We created the "Benny Trilogy" to make sure there is a perfect plate for every kind of brunch lover. While the Eggs Benedict backstory is full of history, we prefer to focus on making history on your plate.

Every single one of our Bennies is served on toasted sourdough with a golden, crispy hash brown that absolutely slaps. Here is the lineup you’ll find on our Food page:

• Eggs Benedict Bacon: This is the classic favourite. We use crispy, golden bacon layered under two perfectly poached eggs. When that yolk bursts and mixes with our rich, creamy hollandaise, it is pure comfort food.
• Eggs Benedict Smoked Salmon: For those who want a touch of indulgence, this version features silky smoked salmon and fresh avocado. It’s light, fresh, and looks incredible on your social feed.
• Eggs Benedict Mushroom (V): Our vegetarian hero. We use roasted garlic and thyme mushrooms paired with a unique pesto hollandaise. It’s earthy, rich, and honestly, even the meat-eaters order it because that pesto twist is a total game-changer.

Sometimes, you just need a sweet win to start your day. Our Menu is designed to satisfy those cravings with dishes that are as fluffy as they are massive. Our house-made waffles and pancake stacks have become local legends for a reason.

Our signature Pancakes (V) are a sweet and salty masterpiece. We stack them high and load them with maple bacon bits, grilled banana, candied walnuts, and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. If waffles are more your speed, our Waffle (V) comes topped with blueberry poached pears, zesty lemon curd, blueberry compote, and "meringue snow." It’s basically dessert for breakfast, and we are 100% okay with that.

For the ones who woke up with a serious hunger, the Big Boi Brekky is the answer. It’s a massive plate featuring bacon, eggs, cheese kransky, hash browns, house beans, mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes. It’s the ultimate fuel for a big day on the Coast. And if you’re looking for something a bit different, our Corn Fritters (V) with minted yoghurt dressing and dukkah offer a fresh, flavour-packed alternative that doesn't feel like a compromise.

We know that for many of you, the coffee is where it all begins. That is why we exclusively pour the Tim Adams Vintage Black blend. Tim is a local legend who has made waves on the Coast for a reason—the coffee is smooth, consistent, and packs exactly the punch you need.

Our baristas are true artists, whether they are pouring a silky flat white or crafting one of our more adventurous creations. But we know not everyone is a caffeine fiend, or maybe you've already had your three-cup limit. Our Menu goes way beyond the standard latte:

• Cold Foam Magic: We are always experimenting with taro, ube, and peppermint cold foams that add a velvety, colourful layer to your iced drinks.
• OG Loaded Shakes: We are the home of the loaded shake. From Milo to Rocky Road, these are epic treats topped with everything from cake slices to whole doughnuts.
• Oat Lattes & Dirty Chais: Our oat lattes are a crowd favourite for a reason, and our dirty chai hits that perfect balance of spice and caffeine.
• Fresh Juices: If you need a vitamin hit, our fresh juices are squeezed to order and are the perfect companion to a sunny outdoor brunch.

We are 100% dog-friendly, and we love seeing your pups chilling under the table while you demolish a Bacon Benny. One of the reasons our regulars keep coming back (besides the coffee card!) is that the menu is always evolving. Every month, we drop a new set of specials that "go off their tits."
